Player Ship & Pilot Core
Now that enemies have all been rebuilt, I turned my attention to the player. I rebuilt not only the player ship, but the bright gemstone like pilot core that attaches to it. The pilot core is now much larger and clearer so that people can better appreciate it. The player’s rechargeable shield is now a more obvious round thing like an energy bubble that surrounds the ship. The transfer of the pilot core from ship to new ship and the loss and gain of the energy shield should all be more apparent throughout the game.
Support Ship Reborn
The most striking change this week is the reintroduction of the old support ship. Last year, a much larger docking structure comprised of two long arms that held the player ship for repairs was created. After much consideration, I felt it would be a good move to fall back to some previous ideas across the game, so the friendly support ship was swapped back in and slightly reborn with some new color and lighting experiments. This is a central change and first stepping stone for bigger changes that I hope to accomplish in REVO this month.
Destroyer Battle Refined
I received some great feedback on last month’s version from a couple friends and long time fans of REVO. They both struggled to understand the battle against the Destroyer boss found in the minefield region. I realized this was due to a lack of feedback from the game. It’s easy to overlook the mine turrets that surround the middle power core and to think that your attacks have little to no effect. To correct this, I have given those turrets health meters and a flashing effect to show you when you land damage and help you understand how much progress you’ve made. Not sure why I didn’t do this during the recent boss rebuilds, but the experience should be much better now, thanks to player feedback.

Hard Mode Fixed
For those of you who have already unlocked the alternate Hard Mode ship, you’ll be happy to know that I finally got around to fix the bug that loaded the wrong ship after a game over. Please enjoy endless continues in Hard Mode now.
